Blush Pink Flowers for a Spring Marquee Wedding in Warwickshire

Summer Wedding Flower Arch Lily Loves

Aime & Ed

(imagery throughout: Nicola Drummond

Aime & Ed tied the knot at their local village church, before celebrating with their loved ones in a marquee in the grounds of Aime’s beautiful Family home, in the iddilic Warwickshire Countryside.

It was clear from the off that Aime & Ed wanted the flowers to be a big feature of their day. Every significant photograph from the wedding features the beautiful fairytale flowers; from walking out of the church through the broken flower arch to drinking cocktails beneath the monumental 8ft flower cloud! Not to mention 6 bridesmaids and as many groomsmen, all wearing or carrying bouquets or buttonholes complimentary to the theme.

Romantic Blush Flowers

The flowers followed the romantic pastel palette of the overall styling, with loose ethereal touches throughout to keep a natural and contemporary style.

The tables were dressed with both low and eye-line centerpieces. The impact of staggering floral heights was that you could see the flowers from any point in the marquee; enhancing the impact of the overall setting.

The marquee was styled to a tee with tapered blush candles throughout, thoughtful favours and beautifully crafted name settings.

The wedding day itself was the hottest spring day, so we had to adjust our normal installation process to protect the flowers from the heat. This meant that we did more preparation in the cool of the Lily Loves studio than onsite, only transporting the flowers when needed. We also tracked the sun at the church to make sure the flower arches were not exposed to extreme heat for longer than they needed to be.

Ed & Aime made the most of every bloom, by reusing the ceremony flowers in the marquee. This involved transporting them a mile down the road on the back of a tractor-trailer and placing them before the guests entered the marquee. This feat of timing was well planned with Ed & Aime before the day and worked around the schedule of the bridal party and guests. Just like magic, the flowers reappeared!

Wow factor floral installation

The big Wow factor has to be the 8ft floral installation above the circular bar in the centre of the marquee. This installation was designed for the space, with bespoke mechanics and over 1000 stems to adorn the large space of the bar area. Ed & Aime knew that the bar would be central to the celebrations, so they used this to create the Wow factor! And it certainly did that!

Ed & Aime’s marquee wedding is certainly one we won’t forget for its beauty and style, not to mention working in a marquee on the hottest day of the year! Looking back at the photos, you would never know though, as everything looks so cool and calm!
